    HCI Management, headquartered in Kansas City, specializes in working closely with businesses to identify growth impediments and provide strategic leadership and/or capital infusion, if necessary. The company serves CEO’s, corporate boards and management in a variety of industry segments. The HCI logo mark combines classic layout with modern letterforms to express both expertise and fresh thinking. The monogram-like representation of the founder’s initials is indicative of his very personal, direct and intimate involvement with clients. The mark is simple, complementing other design elements well, yet strong on its own. Black, silver and white are used throughout the design adding to a sense of strength and confidence.

  • CHEEKYS IDENTITY & POSTCARD
    Identity and postcard developed for the Cheekys, a toast (and roast) of KC’s Advertising royalty. This year the AAF honored Teri Rogers who has built T2 into a nationally renowned design-driven production and postproduction company. The creative is a typographic play off the many emotions one may feel when reacting to the roasters as Teri faces her due.

  • FRIENDSHIP INN IDENTITY & WEBSITE
    Friendship Inn is a non-profit organization in Kansas City that provides accommodations for out-of-town families with a loved one receiving in-patient medical care at a nearby hospital. The residential-style home serves hundreds of families each year and operates on a modest budget, heavily reliant upon individual donations. The idea was to design a cohesive, graphic identity package and convey a sense of comfort, familiarity and simplicity reflective of the humble, yet welcoming, environment of the home, itself. We wanted to connect the space and people who work within the organization with the guests who would experience the hospitality. One of Friendship Inn’s goals is to open their doors to those unfamiliar with the area and make strong connections. This is suggested by the ivy vines. Ivy is representative of love and friendship, which is at the core of the organization. The mark is also ornamented with dragonflies, which are symbolic of living in the moment.

  • MITCHELL INVITE
    Spring is as good of a time as any for a wedding. Not only is it inspiring for us as a couple, but spring also influenced the creative behind these invitations. Cream, red and sky blue are used to represent the transitioning out of the frozen doldrums of winter into the vibrancy of spring. New growth, lovebirds and classic typography carry the message of new beginnings and unlimited possibilities.

This collateral piece is designed as a tool to inform student athletes of NAIA's extensive opportunities. The design of this piece centers around the hard work and dedication of the student athlete in all of their arenas, be it the field, court or the classroom.
